Need for an anti-war movement not going away

After five years, war in Iraq continues without pause. Turkey’s invasion of northern Iraq is further evidence that the headaches for US imperialism in controlling the region continue to grow.

Kathy Black, of US Labor against the War, visited Australia in the lead up to the anniversary of the Iraq invasion. An active unionist, she spoke about the opposition to the war amongst working class Americans. Ordinary Americans are bearing the cost of war in declining spending on public services and the growing number of casualties.
